SSEK Advises SK Capital on Acquisition of Clariant Businesses

Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono has advised US-based private equity firm SK Capital Partners on the Indonesian aspects of its global acquisition of the textile chemicals, paper specialties, and emulsions businesses of Clariant Corporation, the Swiss-based specialty chemicals company.

Globally these three divisions possess well-recognized brands and leading technologies in dyes, pigments, emulsions, and surface active chemicals used in the textile, paper, coatings, construction, and adhesive industries. Together, the divisions generate revenues of approximately US$1.3 billion, operate from 25 facilities around the world and employ approximately 3,000 employees.The three divisions will be ultimately combined into an integrated, market-focused, and highly collaborative company to be called Archroma, which is representative of the organization’s mission to provide its customers with the highest levels of quality, reliability, innovation, and customer delight.
